Vegan Drop Biscuits
These drop biscuits are crispy and fluffy at the same time. There is no rolling and cutting out dough here, mostly because I'm lazy and didn't want to do it, that's what makes them "drop" biscuits. Also, I love their rough uneven texture. They go great with our veggie gravy recipe. Biscuits and gravy, anyone?!
Makes: 7 biscuits
- 2 cups flour
- 1 Tbsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tsp sugar
- 1 cup plant based milk
- 1/3 cup oil
- Pre-heat oven to 425°.
- Mix flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
- Add the milk and oil to the flour mixture and stir until combined.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place scoops of dough at least 1 inch apart.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes. They are done when the bottom is a light golden brown and they have puffed up.
